Neither the curled, strong arms of the sea, nor sand in amount of dunes can smolder a furnace as fierce: Val is fire. Solemn in her dance of unbridled courage, the child of the tryst of summer sunsets and july monsoons-- she lent us her teardrops to light our candles at night and cradled us with the warmth she perpetually emanates. Yet she extinguishes her own flame to save those who are too weak to tame her.
